POP TRADING COMPANY x ROP COLLECTION LONG SLEEVE T - SHIRT BLACK ALEIN WORKSHOP
It won't come as a surprise that Rop van Mierlo is one of our favorite Dutch visual artists, as we already incorporated some of his wet-on-wet animal paintings in our 2018 and 2020 collections.
Having worked for the likes of Hermès and Marni and recently starting his own 'Wild Animals' label we collaborated on something very special for our AW22 Rop van Mierlo capsule,as this capsule is a nod to both our pasts in skateboarding.
We grew up skating in the nineties, and while daydreaming in our junior high classes we used to doodle skate graphics in our sketch book – just as every other skate rat used to do.
This nostalgia fuelled aesthetic inspired the graphics that Rop created in his signature wet-on-wet painting style for our hooded sweaters, long sleeves and t-shirts.
On top of that there’s a custom designed SIGG water bottle and Rop for Pop Moleskine notebook.
